I don’t know if you’ve heard “Machine Gun Blues” the first single off of Social Distortion’s new album “Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes” due later this month.
I heard it all over Sirius Satellite radio (thanks for the hook up Hertz Rent-A-Car) when visiting my family back in the U.S. over the holidays. I couldn’t get enough of it.
We have a lot of readers/viewers in Southern California (our future home sometime in 2011) and of course that is ground zero for Social Distortion fans.
Well, got this email from Epitaph records, Social D’s new label, and it seems they are looking for extras to be in the video. Wish I was there and could participate but duty calls for me to be in South America at the moment.
But if your in Southern Cal or want to make your way there, here is the info for the video shoot.
And if you missed it, below is Social D’s performance of Machine Gun Blues on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Good luck!
EMAIL FROM EPITAPH:
We’re filming a video for our new song “Machine Gun Blues” and are looking for extras to be in it. The video takes place in the 1930’s so we need people from the Southern California area who are 18 or older, have 1930’s apparel, cars or any other time period specific items/props. If you own a 1930’s vehicle, the car must be 1934 or earlier. If you fit this criteria and would like more information please email the following specifics to video@epitaph.com
– Name
– Age
– Location
– Photo
– Contact info (email and phone number)
– Details about 1930’s wardrobe and props
Thanks for your interest!
