As you may know by now, Cuba Skate is an organization we’ve pledged to help by donating a % of proceeds from the “Punktology Vol. 1 – Free Cuba Now!” compilation CD from Punk Outlaw Records.
They bring skateboard equipment, build skateboard parks and in general provide some hope to Cuban youth, who often suffer the indignities of extreme poverty and, as we’ve seen with the punks, may lack basic freedoms on the island nation. Cuba Skate is a good organization that is non political in their efforts to simply help our neighbors in the Caribbean in a non partisan, humanitarian way.
