Memorial Day is every day. I think this rare acoustic song from Rancid encapsulates the feelings of a modern day young soldier serving in wars, just and unjust, after they return to “civilian life” coping with change and loss. Looking forward to a day when war and it’s requisite misery is no longer needed, celebrated or tolerated. That would be the best way to honor our vets.
