My name is Robert G. Rose (I use my middle initial because I’m not Robert Rose the Jewelry Designer, Robert Rose the football player or any of the other thousands of Robert Rose’s in the world).

I travel all over the world and document punk rock music. This page is dedicated to Punk music and it’s family of offspring, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. (Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Punkabilly, Reggae, Ska, etc…).

I’m an indie video producer and a very avid independent traveler. I currently produce (and host) a travel TV show called “Raw Travel” and it takes almost all my time (and then some) but I used to spend my days traveling to places like Eastern Europe,  Central and South America documenting the influence of punk music in places like Colombia, Guatemala, Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine and more. I still try to squeeze in a visit to a punk show or band rehearsal when traveling on behalf of Raw Travel and as much as I can get away with it, I throw it in the show when possible.

You can see some a small slice of my work displayed here and I hope to be able to string enough of it together to create a documentary called “Punktology… The Global Power of Punk”  some day.

I discovered punk kind of late in life, but I like to say, I was always a punk but just didn’t realize it. Indeed, much of what we do in life is kind of punk rock, whether we admit it or formalize it.

This blog began and continues to be a way to express my love of punk music and the lifestyle and what it has meant to my life and a way to share that expression with anyone who wishes to listen.

I love the punk community and aesthetic of brotherhood and sisterhood.  I’d like to hear from you and get your recommendations and feedback as well (if you keep it civil, so will I).

You can shoot me an email or comment for all to see. Please dig deep for the videos on the site, by checking out the individual blogs.

I’ve been doing this off and on since 2007, so you’ll see some exclusive segments and interviews with bands some semi-famous (NOFX, Casualties, Tiger Army) and most not.

Some of these I produced in my other life as Creator/Executive Producer of a TV show called “American Latino TV” & “LatiNation”. My experience as an indie producer has a lot to do with me being a punk fanatic to this day.  You can also see our Youtube, Facebook and Twitter pages and other pages by visiting the links section.

You’ll also see video and photos from concerts I attend of great bands like Social Distortion, GBH, Misfits, The Casualties, The Damned, Rise Against, Rancid and many less famous folks that I dig.

If I’m in a city or country and there is a punk show, there is a 42.3% chance I’ll be there, camera in hand.

Maybe I’ll see you at one.
